The Gender Disparity Problem

Women

Women in the U.S. who work full time, year round are typically paid only 80 cents for every dollar paid to their male counterparts.

Single Women

Never-married women without children who work full time, year round are typically paid 76 cents for every dollar paid to men who work full time, year round.

Women with Children

Mothers who worked full time, year round typically had lower earnings than fathers making 71 cents for every dollar paid to fathers.

Same Job

Numerous research studies show that compared to men, women are less likely to be hired, particularly for high-wage jobs, or are likely to be offered lower salaries.

Lower Paying Jobs

Women make up nearly six in ten of low-wage jobs that typically pay less than $11 per hour.

Higher Paying Jobs

Women are underrepresented in higher wage occupations. Only 28.5% of senior management level jobs are held by women.

Gaps exist in all industries and sectors.

#20Percent Counts

The United States Equal Pay Act was enacted in 1963 prohibiting sex-based wage discrimination between men and women in the same establishment who perform jobs that require substantially equal skill. While protected by law, no system has been able to enforce and certify companies compliance; the US is actually going backwards.

When will regions close the gap?

Our mission is to advocate for women's rights and pay by automating analysis to justify equality.
